Machine Learning

An application of artificial intelligence

A-to-Be researches and develops advanced techniques for detection, classification and interpretation for the understanding of the environment using computer vision.

Road User Charging

Geolocation applied to dematerialized mobility solutions

Combines different technology options which assures the accuracy in determining the use of the road space over a certain area and time.

Vehicle-to-X

Communication between vehicles, infrastructure and road users

Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) based on a different vehicle to vehicle/infrastruture (V2X) communication technologies.

Big Data

Analyse complex data systems for the mobility environment

The existing analytical methodologies and tools for big data allow for strategic and operational management.

Dynamic Pricing

Better manage demand through pricing mechanisms

Creation and development of algorithms for the implementation of dynamic pricing.

Autonomous Vehicles

CCAM at the infrastructure level for the digitalization of transport.

Cooperative, connected and automated mobility (CCAM) are not only complementary technologies – they reinforce each other and will over time merge completely.

Block Chain

Distributed ledger technologies for payments and contractual data

Creation, alignment  and systematic evaluation of the key  aspects of the RDI process  and standardization.

Connected and Automated Mobility

AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES;5G

Development of advanced cellular 5G enabled solutions for Intelligent Transport Systems and Connected and Automated Mobility. High Definition Maps using LIDAR, GPS, CCTV, and IMU data for real-time sharing of vehicle positions and status between Autonomous and 5G Connected vehicles.

European Projects where we are involved...

C-Streets (2019-2024) | Project co-financed by the European program ‘CEF Transport’, aiming at expanding the C-ROADS project in Portugal (C-ROADS PT), focusing on Multimodality, Urban Mobility, and its interconnection with the main transport routes. It will promote the Digitalization of the Transport Network and creation of the PT Transport Data Layer, preparing the national roads and streets for Day 2 C-ITS services and leveraging Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions for citizens.

TANGENT (2021-2024) | Project financed by H2020 European program, aiming at developing a Mobility Management platform to monitor real-time and forecasted traffic conditions, transport supply and mobility demand. In addition, the project will create transport optimization techniques using Artificial Intelligence and multi-stakeholder arbitration/cooperation mechanisms and will develop a data-sharing framework supported by an effective and inclusive data governance model.

GEMINI (2023-2026) |  Project co-financed by the Horizon Europe program, implementing Mobility Living Labs (MLL) to demonstrate reduction of congestion, air pollution and road risk, targeting an increase of the use of New and shared Mobility Services (NMS) while fostering accessibility and social inclusion. Micro mobility modes, like bike, walking, e-scooters and ride-sharing services, will be reinforced and articulated with the cities’ Public Transport, integrating ticketing and/or payment in PT and on/off-street parking.

NEXTGEN MOBILITY (2022-2025) | Open Innovation Test Bed, co-financed by the PRR national program, located in Lisbon and Aveiro – Portugal, for executing 50 pilots from SMEs and start-ups in the areas of Computer Vision, Vehicular and 5G communications, Cybersecurity, Data and Artificial Intelligence. This initiative aims at creating optimal conditions for the testing of new products and services in real-life environments and accelerating the digital transition of the mobility ecosystem.
